give it to God

Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

[6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

i have been learning that giving all my worries over to God is freeing in so many ways.
even tho ken and i r going thru a heart-wrenching experience, i have seen God's hand on me as He gentle guides me to Himself. when i willingly follow Him, He gives me exactly what i need to help my husband bear a very heavy burden. i started praying God's word over my family. and since God's word never returns empty, i know i am praying what they need.
for me, i have a peace within that i do not understand but am very thankful for. i have been able to keep a level head as well as focus on every day stuff. God's kind of peace and strength really are all i need.
i include Him in every part of my day. i make sure to invite His presence into every inch of our dwelling. i want God everywhere i go.
it really is true: seek God first and everything falls into place.
even when trouble comes God is there. when i forget and let frustration in or even speak wrong words, God is there. He gentle nudges me to remind me that He can handle it. but waits for me to give it to Him.
when i leave it all in His very capable hands, my day is peaceful. i can smile more freely. my outlook is brighter.

God, keep me praying instead of worrying. You promise peace — wonderful, supernatural peace — to those who look to you. In an anxious world, this is a blessed promise — the promise of peace.
